Our work for concrete repairs and replacement generally includes:
- Remove the original/failing concrete
- Prepare for the concrete pour by packing the dirt and installing rebar or welded wire in the area of the proposed new concrete.
- Install or position form boards so the new concrete will transition smoothly to any areas bordering it.
If the new concrete meets or borders the existing concrete we drill holes in the existing concrete and put rebar in the holes and extend it out into the area of the proposed pour area of the new concrete, this will permanently bond the two areas together.
All pours are 4 inches thick unless required to be thicker.
All finishes are “light broom finish” unless told otherwise.
Remove the forms.
Smooth the edges.
Allow and educate client on dry time and usage.

Settling like this typically happens when driveways and sidewalks or any pours of concrete meet another pour of concrete over time, or where roots compromise the base. When we pour concrete we install rebar between the different pours to permanently pin them together so one piece of concrete will not settle more than the one beside it
